I know on a spirited trip in Richards SL55 from Ascot to Nuneaton last year we saw an average of about 23mpg which is fantastic IMHO.

A friend of mine has bought himself one as a company car, and tells me that he gets 7 mpg. He used to get 9 until "I stopped being scared of it"

My CLS is 22 on a run and 15 about town and Im not scared of it says 3 sets of rear tyres in 24k miles

6000 miles a set was the average in my sierra... I've slowed down a bit since then (mostly in order to keep my licence) but the fronts on the Volvo never lasted longer than 12k, and the E class rears have been killed in 10 before now - been doing a lot of motorway and got 20k out of the current ones though.

I get 18.6 mpg on average over the last 14,000 miles. The best I can do on a run is 23.0 mpg, whereas my tyres have been good for over 14,000 miles and still have 4mm of tread on the rears.

I just got 28 mpg on a run, about 13 around town although it may be artificially low due to v cold weather

Averaging 20mpg here. 26 on a motorway run, 8 on track, 3.6 at a car control day (pair of Eagle F1s worn through in 9 miles).

average 16.9 over 3,500 miles. Decent motorway run averages about 26, daily commute (all of 12 miles in total about 14)

15 average in town, no more than 23 at 80mph. I have seen it as low as 12 after short power runs, IMO, you would have to abuse it to get single digits.
