SL55 Remap.

Hi All, was wondering if any one has had a remap or any other work done at DMA Performance at Basildon Essex, have tried GAD at Burnham but according to them they wont touch my car because its to old 2003 and its only done 67,000 mls........

Its surprising to hear GAD won't touch an SL55, but that is their loss.

I would thoroughly recommend MSL Performance who have a branch in Essex
The best remappers of AMG's in the UK IMHO and plenty of members here whose cars have been remapped at MSL.

The usual route for an M113K engine is an 83/77mm s/c pulley and remap taking you to 550 - 600bhp depending on which pulley you choose. He may suggest further cooling aids and some exhaust work to enhance that V8 rumble.

Gad said they wouldn't remap in case of failure...... very surprising considering these engine are pretty much bullet proof. Explained that I had already fitted a 77mm s/c pulley and middle cats removed and rear resonators so just a remap to begin with and then think about some cooling mods later.

So MSL it is then plenty of recommendations also know Dagenham very well.......

Another vote for MSL. When I had my remap they fitted a Johnstone cm30 cooling pump. Have never had a problem with overheating.
I would have a chat to the guys there, lots of knowledge regarding AMG’s.
