sl60

its not mine!
Mine had about 34k miles when it was nicked and apparently now shows 39K on the clock.
Reminds me I need to catch up with the ins co about what they are doing with it............
Sham the guy couldn't be bothered to post any photos. rear spoiler sounds "interesting". Will be watching what, if any, price it achieves

PS mine was IIRC regd jan 97 and was an MY97 car
 
He's now added a few photos and the standard description. No rear spoiler. Mileage at 74k I can't see it being worth more than 20k?
 
I know there are a few Ebay spotters on this forum. Has this car been advertised before. I can recall a similar worded advert, but with a different backdrop. It also had the documentation laid out in the boot?

That was a different car - though the description was the same. Both descriptions were copied from another website.
 
Avantegard are asking 17.5 for the SL60 featured in this months Mercedes Enthusiast, it will be interesting to see what this gets , if it is a genuine ad.

It didn't sell. He removed it from eBay and then relisted it a week later at £25k. There are about 6 up for sale at the moment - lovely cars but unless they're in perfect condition it seems like they're hot potatoes.

It has 115,000 miles. SL600s of this age aren't too popular - £13,500 seems about right.

But that one is bright red and older (and pre-extensive interior facelift). Totally different image to that car vs this one IMHO.
 
It's quite a nice car, but I agree £23k starting bid is very optimistic.
 
I spoke to the dealer last night. The red one has been on sale since early Jan. The 'retro' look is appealing in its own way :)

I like the car as it has leather everywhere (dash, door tops etc). However, the leather on the seats look a bit shiny. I don't have time to go see it till mid April as it's in the Midlands.

There are only some MoTs and some invoices to back up the FMBSH stamps. The dealer says that ME does not feature 'dodgy' cars so we can be sure it's a good one. Apparently ME's Tim Slade would have bought it for himself if he had the money. All of this only makes me more cautious.

There have been 4 owners.

Anyone on here actually seen/driven this SL60?

I haven't seen this months ME - is the red SL60 the one that was on ********** for two years?
 
In general there are a lot of R129s up for sale now quite cheap/reasonably priced and I have seen a few as I almost committed myself to a late final Edition SL500 as a temparary car before my W221 S500 arrives but luckily spotted that a panel had been partially resprayed and I walked away as the owner had owned it from new and insisted that none of panels had been resprayed... :crazy:

V12 SL600 has a heavier engine than the SL500 and I personally would rahe have a SL60 AMG than the 600.

What spec are you having on the W221?
 
Without knowing the VIN I can't be sure, but yes - certainly looks the same.
