Slight Play In Wheels

Had the car in the air today doing some basic checks.
I did notice the front passenger seems to have a tiny bit of play only at 12 and 6oclock.... and the front driver only has play 3 and 9oclock. This must imply that different things are causing it right ?

Didn't have time to properly check but I can't feel any obvious play in the track rods or control arms.
I have recently replaced one of the control arms and torqued everything perfectly., but there are still three more which have never been done ( at the front )
Car drives perfectly.

Any advice ? Car is a 2002 C240 ( W203 ) with 37K on the clock

Thanks

If the control arms are fine I’d be looking at the wheel bearing. Have you noticed any vibration or scraping noises from the wheel when driving?

Seconded, check wheel bearings, both sides

car needs to be jacked up - control arms are often the culprits on c-glc-e - gle etc

6 & 12 o’clock, ball joints. 3 & 9 o’clock, track rods.

Thanks yes I am aware of that general rule but just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar.

One thing I forgot to mention is that when I did the shocks a few months back I tightened the bolts slightly under what they are supposed to be. At the time I torqued them to what auto doc said. However recently I found Mercedes WIS specs and I will try them before investigating further.
Is this a reliable source ?

Thanks

Agreed - but for the 6 and 12 o clock, check that there isn't possibly movement at 3 and 9 o clock masked by brake pads preventing it. Which would point to wheel bearings if present.
