On Tuesday I parked at a pay and display meter near my mothers in Richmond but I couldnt fit in the space.

Knowing how keen the parking authorities are in Richmond I was rather concerned I'd get a ticket.

What do you make of this?

Non standard , and probably illegal sized , parking space .

Where is Robert Saunders these days ?

Parking bay sizes are meat & drink to the solicitors who prowl Pepipoo. They love this kind of stuff. Those lines, gaps & lack of termination look iffy too.

How did you get out the drivers door with that bin there?

I'm glad you spotted that, what kind of numbskull thought it ok to fix that so close to a parking bay (especially one as narrow as this).

I think even a Smart car would have struggled to fit 100% within those markings. Though it is easy to get out of the passenger door in one.

Smarts aren't that narrow, I'm thinking Austin 7 or classic Mini (maybe)

Lots of parking threads in the last day or two.

It looks like the road is wide enough for cars to comfortably pass, but given Mrs D's experience yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if it was ticket-able.
