Newbie needs help!

I've got a 190 E 2.5-16 (yes, silver...sorry) with a brake porblem. At slow speeds, especially in reverse, the ABS kicks in and the ASD (Automatic locking diff) locks the diff. This makes truning in tight circles slightly fraught!

I've taken out the ASD relay so I can still drive the car, but I'm guessing that seeing as both the ABS and ASD use the wheel speed sensors to control their functions, and neither system has a fault light on, that it is probably one of these sensors. Ok, the big question is, how can I test which sensor is dead? Can I just check their resistance's using a standard Avo? I don't really want to blow them up testing them and to replace them all!

Thanks for any advice,
Ross

Use a digital mulit meter and check all the resistances are approximately equal.
