SLK 230 (2003) Won't Start

Had a flat battery (as car stored over winter).

The engine did try and turn over with the normal clicking sounds of a stater motor / flat battery combo. So I charged it for two days.

Now the motor does not try to turn over, as if an immobiliser has kicked in. HELP!
