Hi All

PLEASE PLEASE can anyone help re my lovely SLK. 1 Month ago slowed at roundabout and would not change from first went into limp mode. Went straight into garage and codes came back as speed sensor problems, this was changed and got back after 7 days happened again, this time said soldering on sensor fixed this, then test drove car before back to me, and said happened again and now mechanical trans filter they think (this is a merc dealership) has anyone had similar problem, and have any advice for a worried girl in Oxon :wallbash:

Is this a cabling problem?

Also if there's a even a small leak in the boot then water can discretely get to where the speed sensor cabling is connected up underneath. This can cause it to appear as if the sensors have failed.

Dryce, This is so very very helpful, as I noted that all the times this happened was after jet washed!!!! so I think you are right, is this a fix I can do or a garage repair??

Well got this solved, leaking antifreeze needs new radiator, and gear box £3k cost, at last this has been solved, being re built at mo in scotland, cant wait to get it back.
