SLK 230 Auto - Gearbox Oil Procedure

Hi All

Canb anyone detail how to check gearbox oil on an auto 30 SLK (2.3).

The dipstick I can see does not appear to have a normal pull out thing? The item I located i in the middle of the engine bay, behind the engine...

Do you check with the engine running / not runing. In gear or in neutral. Hot or cold.

What is the procedure?

First off you need to buy or borrow a dipstick, then check after the gearbox is hot by cycling through the gears and back to park with the engine still running.
