SLK 350 headlights

Hi Club members, I was wondering if anyone can advise me on the SLK 171, my headlights do not seem to be efficient enough to give me good road lighting, it is a 2005 model and I was wondering if there is a better bulb that I can fit which will give me better illumination.

Your help will be appreciated.

I know what you mean. The "normal" headlights on the 171 are quite poor.

When I had mine I fitted Osram Night Breakers which weren't much brighter but seemed to project further.

Whichever it was they helped a bit.

Osram have moved on from Night Breaker - to NB+, then NB Ultimate and most recently NB Laser. I tried NB's in my 204, they were better than standard bulbs but only lasted about 12-18 months. Have NB+ in the 968, seldom drive with headlights on but they are pretty good, and as it happens I have a pair of NB Ultimate and a pair of NB Laser on their way here for the 204! I've seen a post from another member who has MB Laser in his E class and says they're superb.
