SLK airbag cover rattle problem

Hi folks,

I am getting an occasional light rattle noise coming from the airbag cover on the passenger side. I know it's the airbag cover or thereabouts as it stops when I dampen the cover with a press of my finger.

Has anyone got any info on how to remove the cover to investigate? It seems to be removable, but I don't want to force it if there is a technique to remove it.

Driving head on into a wall at 35 mph should do the trick.

Remove the door panel and have a look.

Should have said, it is the airbag cover on the dashboard in front of passenger seat.
