SLK Amg - Traction control

I'm interested in either a SLK 55 or a Z4MC, my reasoning for being more interested in the slk is the thumping v8.

Whats putting me off the SLK is the traction control, so far as that i've read you cant turn it off without putting the car into some sort of factory setting where even the abs is off and the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree!!

Have any of you SLK Amg owners found another route around this traction control issue?

In addition, i guess i'd also be interested if anybody has fitted a LSD to theirs too.

I previously had a slk 55 with no lsd and didn't think the traction control cutting in was an issue especially with it turned off I now have a slk 55 supercharged and when I got it I did have and still have traction issues but its much better with the lsd that I had fitted.
then slk 55 is a great fun car even as standard
