slk ignition key

Hi everyone, is it possible to obtain a new ignition key ( old style , two button ) for my 1998 slk 230, other than paying the £210.00 my mb dealer wants , i have seen blanks on e.bay, but have been advised that no one can cut them, any ideas ?, thanks, Brian.

I have been told that a good key cutting shop will be able to cut you a car as long as you have the original. Seeing as these blade type keys are used by lots of manufactures these days.

Hi, i took my key to timpsons who do cut many car keys, but i was told they cannot do mercedes, or saab keys.
