None of the dials light up, "blown bulb" displayed when headlights on.

Is this likely to be a fuse? The manual says there's an auxillery fuse box near the lamp switch and one in the engine compartment, can anybody point me to which one and what to do? Also had a DVD stereo fitted yesterday by halfords (but it's not the first time I have used the lights since then) - could this be the cause?

Highly probable to be linked - why would you do such a thing?

Have you checked that the dimmer switch isnt turned all the way down?

Problem was with fuse in auxillery fuse box, replaced with spare and it blew immediately - this has to be the stereo, are halfords responsible for sorting this out?

Yes but I wouldnt let some spotty unqualified kid near my pride and joy.

Take it to a proper car Stereo outfit and then send halfords the bill for refitting it properly.

turned out the stereo was faulty, had it replaced no problems so far
