Yes they do. It you find it tight try wrappping a big rubber band round and round the base just above where it unscrews. This helps you to grip it. Also the same trick when you put it back on You can tighten it to stop the midnight car park spares collectors from unscrewing it easily

Yes, a little tool is provided with the car for just that purpose. A plastic thing about the size and shape of a £2 coin with a hole in the middle that slides down the antenna and slots on the flats. Mine was in the handbook holder. ook me a while to work out what the random bit of plastic was for...

I swapped the twig on my MX5 for a stubby. Looks nice but rubbish reception. I havent seen that bit of plastic. We live and learn. Off to search the car now LOL Thanks Colin
