Slk respray

Hi,

Looking at getting my bonnet resprayed, it has a slight dent also so that needs doing. One wing has a scuff so thats needs respraying, so other wing will need blending in. Also upper windscreen strip if flaking away so that needs doing and finally the 2 rear window covers have faded so getting them sprayed.

Its obsidian black

All that and i have been quoted £1100 london prices with ch coachworks twickenham

I’ve not heard of CH coachworks before, were they recommended or have you used them before?

There’s a very good Mercedes specialist bodyshop in Ashford, Andy’s Autobarn. Maybe try them for a quote, he knows these cars very well.

Recommended, and have heard can be a bit expensive.

I got a quote from hl motors in fullwell for £903 that was without upper windscreen trim or rear plastic trims

Bodywork is labour intensive work and decent quality work does take time.

The materials cost pretty much the same wherever you go, the savings will no doubt come down to the hourly rate of whoever’s doing the work and their overheads, assuming they both spend the same amount of time etc.

I can vouch for Andy’s work, decent guy and very experienced with all models of Mercedes-Benz, both classic and modern. It’s been a few years since I’ve needed any work done but I was always pleased with the jobs he did for me and he was fairly priced IMHO
