Hi folks,
I have a 98 slk and have swapped the head unit but the door speakers still sound like they have either no bass or distored, so I think the cones may be knackered.
I have been looking and come across some 16.5 cm slk speaker adaptors, supposedly to allow standard 16.5 speakers to be fit instead of the originals. Question is, do these replace the grills that are already there or are they to go inside the door and allow the new 16.5cm speakers to sit in properly?
Any thoughts or even suppliers of standard fit speakers welcome.

Actually, looking at them in detail, I think they allow the speaker to site inside, but anyone used them?
