Hi all how much automatic transmission oil do I need for the auto transmission. And how do I change it? Thanks

If you look on YouTube there are a few vids on there showing how it is done, I think if you just remove the drain plug it is about 3 litres if you remove the sump, filter etc it will be slightly more. You will need the dipstick finding the correct level can be a bit of a fiddle measure the amount that drains out and replace that with new. You would be better off looking at how it is done as then you can see what your up against.

Type in YouTube 'mercedes Slk 230 transmission oil change' and you should see a video by a channel called 'diesel mercedes'. I was watching it a few weeks ago and he really explained the process very well with an excellent video. He is a professional mechanic as it seems.
