Hi there,all the road tests of the SLK55 say they feel the car is under Tyree, as I am about to put on 4 tyres has anyone put any wider on standard rims ?

Never felt that myself, and have always used standard size tyres on Angie's SLK55.

Bearing in mind the small lips added to the rear arches to keep the standard fitment legal, I doubt there's much leeway for anything significantly wider.

How does it feel to you?

I’ve not heard or read that the tyres are too narrow on the SLK 55 however some owners of other AMG models have posted that they have gone up an extra 10-20mm.

If you do change to tyre sizes not specified by Mercedes, then do bear in mind that it could cause complications with insurance.

Never felt I needed to put more rubber on my SLK55 , had Continentals fitted ano they always felt secure in the dry, wet and some snow in mid wales
