Slow Car on a lease, thoughts ?????

My SIL had one.....never let her down and she did big miles. Personally I think you need to drive one first....they are certainly a commuters cars rather than a "drivers" car.

The Swift weighs only 945Kg which is light by modern standards. With 81bhp and 83ftlbs of torque, I doubt it feels unacceptably slow. 60 bhp in a car of that weight would be slow.

You can upgrade to 140bhp in the sport version ...
This would be on the higher end price wise

I was thinking this price point for a more vintage model is also worth looking at

I've still got an unfulfilled long felt want for one of these.

They've been going UP in value over the last five years. Ridiculous that a good one is more than a comparable BMW 330CI or Golf GTI

(That said, the aluminium body is still a panelbeater's nightmare)

Cracking cars. The first 3 litre car if I remember right.

That's a Cat S, though, so probably about 30% cheaper than an unmolested version.

A 1.4 Turbo Sport is still available new despite being the previous model but the monthlies are over twice as much so if I was going to pay that much I'd be looking at different cars.

The facelift 1.6 older Sport is a cracking little car. I test drove one a few years back but slept on it for a couple of days and it sold. It was a 12 plate with 30k and it was at a non Suzuki main dealer for 5 grand. Good ones now go 6/7/8 grand so I just cannot phycologically pay more 3 years down the line for less !!!! Plus a manual and at least 10 years old so similar maintenance and worry / reliability wise to what I have now.

An Audi A2?
First car to achieve 3 litres per 100 km (which is around 94 mpg) although as @Bellow points out that might have been the Lupo.

If I remember right VAG were the first 1 litre car too with the XL1. They take this stuff seriously despite the emissions scandal.l tainting their reputation.

Well still haven't had a test drive yet, booked in Saturday.

But as it turns out Orange is the new Black ......

It's the only colour that is free. Any other colour adds £35 a month or £45 to have the blingy Suzuki blue with the black roof which puts the monthlies into the next level of car.

Now I'm orange aware it's seems every other car I see is orange or orangey bronzey 😁

It is growing on me though !

That front end is certainly unique.

I do like the colour though
And yep, I see quite a few that 'hue" as well across a range of brands

I can’t believe how many orange cars are about, and most look good in it.

I know because the Dazzlers have recently started playing Yellow Car competitively again, and I shout “yellow car!” for every orange, green or gold car I see as a tiny speck on the horizon just in case I get the point. I’m like the Red Bull of Yellow Car, I’ll do whatever it takes to win even if it means blatant cheating, because I’ll just claim to be the victim.

Mrs PMP is "Unique"

Not in a good way ............. 🤪
