When we were in Florida we couldn't figure out at first why some familiar cars looked so much better - then we realised it was because they don't have front licence plates there.
You can't back into a space there, like the SLR is, though - you have to park showing the rear plate.

not that expensive, but sounds like thunder

The SLR sounds better than the corvette. Although the corvette does sound lovely. Mind you so did my mates Rover SD1 V8 and that cost £300.
