I really hope this is not really bad news.........have noticed on accelerating from standing start grey smoke......accelerate hard on motorway.....can generate a smokescreen! only lasts for a second or two at most then clear.
No smoke when pottering around normally....:(

Any ideas.....I'm thinking a trip to the garage is required for diagnostics!

I have a really bad feeling someone is going to say turbo.

Sounds normal to me as the Cat clears itself.

Try a dose of injector cleaner.

I have the same issue and I think its EGR related, I am looking to delete it with dieselman's instructions this weekend.

Havent you just fitted a new rear box?

Reason why factory fitted Diesels have pipes which point downwards is for this very reason.

With my Quad set up, hard acceration sometimes results in a cloud.

I had this problem and it turned out to be worn inlet manifold flaps. in fact l'm sure it was Dieselman who pointed me in the right direction a couple of years ago.

No haven't done yet, haven't got around to it..

Still saving up for the C63.....may take some time!!! :D

Bought a 500 ml botle of Forte Advanced Diesel treatment.....any ideas on doseage?....is it full bottle in the tank??

Cheers

What does it say on the bottle? If nothing, then chuck it in and fill the tank.

Sometimes I wonder about myself

Having read the bottle again, it does indeed say add full bottle :fail

Thanks or reply
