Hi,

Can anyone confirm from the video if the exhaust gases look normal. I personally cannot tell if it is steam or smoke. Hoping its just condensation from when the exhaust cooled the last time. No smell to it whatsoever.

I just noticed this on a few recent cold start-ups. Only had the car a few months so unsure if its normal. The only reason I am questioning it is because I never noticed this effect on my last diesel. (only when DPF regenerated did I see anything - just a few puffs of white smoke )

It was approx. 12c when I started the car for the video.

Any comments appreciated.

Cheers

Lee

Looks like condensation to me. You can see through it if that makes sense? If it were smoke it would appear more dense and harder to see through.

Its common on cold starts. If it occurs on warm starts, then it's a worry. On previous cars might it have been harder to see in the rear view compared to this car?

This is condensation it is very clear to see and of course on a cold start that is very normal no worry
