Hi I recently noticed excessive black smoke from my b200 and was told by Mercedes main dealer that no2 injector was faulty. I took it to an independent diesel specialist who reconditioned the faulty injector and tested the others all found to be good. The following day I pulled into a garage to check tyre pressures and the car spluttered and stalled but restarted straight away. I drove the car to Italy the following day and it seemed fine until the toll booth when it stalled again. This happened about 6 times there and back. I still thought it was still smoking to much under load. On my return to the UK I contacted the garage to be told it was nothing to do with the recent work. I have taken it to another me specialist who found fault with the egr valve. This has been replaced but the black smoke is still present. They have also said that the inlet manifold is soothed up and the temp sensor was dirty and have ordered a new one. Would this make it smoke. Any one got any ideas as my pockets are not bottomless thanks vinceb
