Snow and More Damned C63 Warning Lights

My frustration with the over cautious warning system on my C63 PPP reached new heights (or lows) today. It snowed. I drove in the snow. The snow stuck to the front of the car. Everytime I slowed to whatever speed the parking system cuts in, it started beeping furiously, presumably thinking I was going crash into the snow stuck to the front of the car!

Then it got all huffy and said the system wasn't working properly and I should go straight home or a Mercedes dealers or crash, I didn't have time to read the long message because Iwas driving in a blzzard.

It's not as if it doesn't snow in Germany. I turned it off, forgot I'd done that and nearly drove into the garage wall when I got home.:fail

Relax, have a calming Horlicks, park C63 in suitable hibernation spot, purchase sacrificial 4x4, Its just part of the owner acclimatisation :D. I thought it was in the AMG handbook?

I'm pleased to see parktronic hasn't improved in the 16 years since they built my car, which also gets outwitted by twigs and random litter in the road.

How do you turn off the parktronic system then,it seems on my SL350 which I recently bought only the rear is working so maybe the front has been turned off, could this be the case.

You need one of these....

I had one of these.

4WD and not once did it tell me I was about to crash - although to be fair I did drive into the back of someone on a roundabout when a warning might have been helpful.

The C63 warned me of the downslope of a particularly steep drive the other day. Presumably it thoughtI would burrow into the earth?
