Snow!

London man! Where the entire population lives according to the BBC headlines

Ha ha. I was waiting for that.

Three snowflakes and that's it...

Isn't it a good job the rest of the country keeps going...

Arghhhh..
Just cleared the drive to get the battle bus out and it's snowing again..proper snow as well... :D

It's rare London sees this much snow - I know it's been 20 years since I've seen it like this where I am.

You northerners get to moan every year, so let us have our 5 minutes ;).

I agree Andrew - I can't remember seeing snow as deep as this before where I am, if it was 20 years ago I would've been a kid! ;)

BTW, anyone noticed that the phone networks (various, not just mobiles) around here are all gridlocked?

(no doubt everyone ringing in off work etc..)

Last times that's happened have been only NYE and the 7/7 bombings that I can remember.

last time it snowed this bad in London, we were putting a floor into a building on Southwark Street - at least they managed to keep a few trains running :)

A few phone pics taken from inside.

I reckon there's a good 6-8+ inches of snow in places, and it's still coming down heavily.

Apparantly most of the tube network (the one service you'd think would be imune) has given up...

BTW, I don't think the bin men will be coming for my rubbish today.. ;)

Off to the park soon !! ;)

Well, I just went for my walk to see what the main road was like and bumped into an Irishman walking along with only one wellington on. He told me the weatherman said there would only be one foot of snow!!

Hahhahahahahahahhahahahahahah!!! :D

Hmm. We have had, what by any standards, is a pretty respectable snow dump overnight 10 to 12 inches in the garden, leaving the dogs a bit stunned. But not for long. Shall post a video link up later but in the meantime here is what greeted me when I decided that I ought to at least make some effort. Maybe later........

Have given up. Six inches by 6.00 this morning and couldn't get the car off the drive. Probably just as well since I heard reports that the a30 at Bagshot (en route to work) was impassable. Had 2-3 inches since then and cannot now see the part of the drive I tried to clear.

3 inches here in mid West Sussex. Kids are at home, and Mrs E......well, none her clients are flying anywhere today now, are they? :)

This has been forecast for 2-3 days with some certainty - been on the forecast models for about a week but only really firmed up just before the weekend. It's looking to be wintery throughout the week with more snow today and tomorrow, then Thursday and Friday in various places.

Glad Tesco delivered on Saturday as I'm sure the village shop will about empty by now....
