Well the first of the snow had tried to fall down the south west end of the UK.
I hope my C200 Coupe is not as bad as the 190D I used to have. If it was snowing then leave the car home as I could not get it back up the hill.

Or it could be the way I drive

Whooops !!!!!

Maybe time to put the SL away

It was supposed to be a daily driver, but RWD, Auto and 245 tyres might not be such a good idea if the snow reaches us.

My wife has never had a RWD in the snow - and this is the first auto she has driven !

Thats why i would buy my wife an ML . Too big to take into the city centre to go shopping . ( money saved there ) and good in the snow and plenty of room for the kids. Plus the kids would not mess up the white leather in my S600 Bi turbo .

Sounds familiar... I drove in snow earlier this year (but only had 205 tyres then) and it was tricky to say the least. I'm tempted to get some ordinary 15" steels wrapped in winter tyres, might swap them for the next month or so in case it snows, safer and less likely to be damaged by the nasty road salts (or kerbs hidden by snow! ) etc.

I would put winter tyres onto your car.

They are slightly noisier when driving on the clear roads, but really come into there own when there is snow on the ground.

The deeper cut tread and pattern really grips well in snow.

In De. nearly all cars have them during the winter, this is due to insurance purposes in the event of an accident.

In DE it is not a legal requirement to have winter tyres, but if you're in an accident in winter and the insurance co. think it could have been prevented if you didn't have all-season tyres then they might invalidate your claim, esp if the other party *did* have winter tyres on!

Winter tyres are a legal requirement in scandinavia, among other places.

Another set of wheels now that’s a thought. Still the snow did not come to anything.

Thought about getting a set of chains but my list of I WANT'S is quite long

I am already classed as sad as I bought a set of rubber over mats to go in the car so not to get my evolution one's dirty in the winter.
