So, AMG owners, how’s your Fuel Consumption?

I'm pretty sure LPG can still be bought for 55-60p/litre in some places - just not mine - or yours!
260-270 mile range from 100l of LPG. If I got 15mpg on petrol then 35 gallons would add 525 to that. Close to 800 miles. What was the difference in mpg between the two fuels that you saw? My '15mpg' is a guess based on fuel density. Two fills of the tank at £200 each required to know for sure. Don't mind if I don't...
I'd never have guessed you have used LPG. It's a good fuel. Kind of makes me laugh, all the arguments that it was difficult to install a tank. Now cars are being built around a battery!
I think I used to get high teens mpg wise on gas, perhaps low twenties on unleaded. Not a huge amount - maybe 4/5mpg at most but LPG was less than half the price of unleaded so it worked out about half price fuel wise overall when accounting for the couple of minutes it would start up on unleaded with from cold.

Fully loaded with five people and full of luggage it would average around 18-20mpg on a reasonable motorway pace, slightly more with lighter loads/less traffic or if you were mindful of the loud pedal. Translate that to about 40mpg and it wasn’t a bad vehicle with the 476hp on unleaded and what felt like still 400hp on gas

The conversion was done by the previous owner, but I had no issues with it and had well over 150k miles when I sold it and it ran like new :)

My C63 biturbo is thirsty when you are going for it, but unbelievably frugal if you drive sensibly. A few months back I had to go to Dartford. The m23 was 50 limit with average cameras because smart motorway works going on, and the m25 was busy but moving steadily.

I've just made the 4 hour treck down to Newquay for a week, my w166 ml63 has averaged 25ish on a gentle drive down.

On a comparison,my father has averaged just over 30mpg in his 5.5ltr 2007 S500 on the same journey.

That’s brilliant.

Generally have an indicated 20mpg life to date, but did just manage the attached - not quite at the level of the earlier C63, but I was pleased with it!

After I had my fuel filter and air filters replaced along with the annual service, I expect to get my MPG improved.
Car feels very lightweight and punchy on throttle.
She now feels like a speeding ticket in my hand. ;)

W166 ML 63 AMG PP M157
16.7 MPG @ 25 MPH over 37,339 miles
453 Smart ForFour M283
41.9 MPG @ 22 MPH over 4,403 miles
I thought of this thread whilst I was in the car this morning, so here’s the fuel consumption according to the trip computer:

R190 AMG GT C W178
16.8 MPG @ 21 MPH over 4077 miles

Was wondering would mpg be better when the engine has a few miles on the clock

Yea I don't look either. Can someone tell me why it starts warning you at a quarter of tank, seems premature to me
Because at that point you have 15 minutes of fuel left

The newer phone app actually has a feature to show you everyone else's consumption and your own lifetime consumption on a bell curve compared to the population distribution for your specific vehicle.

Mine (w205 c63 coupe) is 18mpg over 5,000 miles. It's a bit below the median but not hugely so. I live in London, so have to do a lot of low-speed driving in traffic, where it averages about 8mpg under those circumstances.

200 mile charity drive yesterday east coast Dornoch to the West coast and back weaving along the minor roads and back home finished with 23.9mpg.

You complete that with one tank?

Should do. 200/23.9 = 8.36 gallons

8.36 gallons = 38.01 litres.

Never really paid much attention but reset the trip last week out of interest for my trips to work... about 60% M4/M25 with 50/60mph limit the rest is A road/City... I was very surprised at 35.2 mpg over 459 miles.. I've never thought of V8's as a green engine o_O

14.5 mpg urban driving in Jersey (E63 W211)........have had it as high as 16 mpg though
