Daughter no1 really likes her cars and bikes.
This weekend she came home with this.
All the toys climate, computer, leather etc.
76k, 12 month mot which she got done herself, four new tyres.
Immaculate bodywork - no rust at all.
Bad bits electric mirrors only worked in one plane. Fixed by me by squirting ipa into the switch. Rear bumper insert faded. Resprayed by me, and the ashtray sticks open or closed - small spring required. That's it.
Cracking car- really really nice.

So what did it cost her?

Forgot to mention, the alloys are beyond redemption. They really need a full refurb

About £2k.

Given my experience of what I sold my previous Saab for, it probably cost a handful of crap from the bottom of her pocket...

Lots of car for the money although mine wasn't particularly cheap to run - and that's against what I have now!!!

You / she should join saabscene.com

Very friendly knowledgeable bods on there.

51 plate.

She paid £2,300
Now in my book, that's an absolute bargain.

And after I had spent all day cleaning/messing she said "I think I'll put it on Autotrader for three and a half"

Her ear is still hurting!!

Hold on, isn't there a popular series with two guys that do just that?

See she has been influenced by a tv programme :D

Seems like a bargain to me :bannana:

Having just watched TG, three of these wouldn't even get you a new Nissan Pixo! :/

I wonder if JC will be on here when he discovers that CL to have rotten body work. Otherwise, WHAT A CAR!!!

How many of us are now searching AutoTrader for a sub-£7k CL600...

Jaymanek has a beauty.

Until it needs its first repair bill.

I like clarksons style, but a £7k CL bar outlay will cost more to run than a new £140,000 one.

Which is frightening really but I can see the attraction ;)
