So long E63...

Let us know how the M6 is when you get it.

I've been looking at them but not sure if its worth swapping the current car for one.

Also if it drives anything like the F10 M5 which I suspect it most likely will then I'm out as I had an F10 and hated it.

I didn't realise you had got rid of your F10

What did you replace it with ?

Yeh got rid of it and the E63

Got a 7 series now pretty decent motor.

That's a bit of a change !

Is it the new mega tech one ?

Why was it you fell out of live with the f10 ? I just can't decide about mine, it impresses me but I don't love it like I do the AMGs.

It's an F02 760Li, Basically the full fat with extra double cream

I just couldn't get on with the power delivery in the F10 tbh, it was either too much power or not enough, I messed about the the settings etc and still couldn't get one that I enjoyed driving in, in the end I just started disliking the car.

The E63 was amazing loved that car 2 things though, the seats were uncomfortable for me anyway and I couldn't use the power anywhere and it was hard not as the car was soo good to drive plus it had factory fitted Performance pack and LSD so there was loads of power and plenty of traction.

The M6 is awesome so far, I love it.

Reviews rate it as a better drive than the F10 M5, and the lower c of g and seating position and incredible all-enveloping interior make it feel like a different car. Power delivery wise it should be the same as the F10.

If you hated the F10, then it might be a risky choice!

The E63 hid it's weight well, but the M6 feels lighter still yet it is actually heavier than the E63 by 150kg. The M6 feels lighter on its toes then my old 335i!

I never really got on with the E63 for a few reasons. The engine noise grated a bit at anything other than full chat. I'm not a no.1 great fan of that lazy yank V8 sound. The seats are poor and the interior looks like it's 10 years old.

Don't mention the gearbox! I hate autos and the e63 is just that, whereas a decent dual clutcher at least gives some response and a good thump in the back.

Each to their own of course....

I haven't seen your car turn up at BCA yet. I'm in the market for a facelift e63 estate so if anyone on her is thinking of selling drop me a message.

I forgot to post...

When BCA turned up on 19th Dec they said they were just doing the checks & logistics for MB, it was going to an MB dealer / depot on the Wirral, not to auction.

I've looked on the MB used website and can't see it.

If you're interested:

Reg: LO63 ARU, registered Jan 2014
Colour: Palladium
Int: Porcelain
17k miles.
Black wheels and tinted windows.
Quaife LSD fitted (but nobody knows)

Post here if you find it...

I would have had that diff off you.

I thought about taking it off to sell, best way would have been a direct whole diff swap with another car without opening the differential casings.

But hassle with day off (unpaid), organising it all, risk of damage / problems with the car just before it goes back etc. All conspired to make it not worth doing ....

E63 even dead will annihilate any live M6...

only milk or juice come in 2l!

Are you sure?

I owned the W212 Biturbo E63 and F10 M5 at the same time and tbh theres not much between them.

The way they drive is totally different though.

Oh and my milk comes in 10l and juice in 1l :D
