Probably a 4x4 of some description to be honest, a W164 320 CDi Sport, a Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE or a 2005+ Range Rover Vogue SE.
There'll be another addition to the family at the beginning of September, so we will need the space that those cars bring.
I've argued with myself about buying a S211 E55K, but I just can't quite make the big step and it's not really about the fuel costs, it's just that I'd be looking at buying a pre-facelift and it's not what I'm wanting.
I've owned five W211's now, the natural progression would be a W212 at some point but I really can't get on with the cabin or the interior materials.
How's your AMG treating you, good I hope?

I never set out to own so many W211's, they just became the fail-safe option because of how good they are and this one that I've just sold has been the best by quite some distance.

If you mean the W212, I had an E350 (265) CDi for about three weeks and after about a fortnight the interior really started to grate on me.
Wouldn't say no to a W212 E63 Bi-Turbo though...

I'm going to be doing a W210 E55 transplant into a G-Wagen early next year, I just need to find the right donor cars.
I watched a scabby E55 sell on eBay for £1100 last week, and I should be able to get a decent LWB donor for £2-3k.

Cheers John, I only put it on eBay last Wednesday.
Even in a recession, if you price something right, it will always sell.
I owned the car for circa eight months and wouldn't have got rid if it wasn't for the expected addition.

I intend to do a full restoration, bodywork included.
At the minute we're trying to work out whether the interior from a W210 will fit in the G.
