Hi,

I am here to offer you a challenge...

I am an RS4 owner who is setting up a day at Bruntingthorpe for some top speed driving. The twist is that I use AudiSRS forum and am challenging yourselves and a BMW forum to bring 20-25 cars and put them up against us AudiSRS members. So we will have three German car forums there for a bit of friendly rivalry!!

Well, more like a fun day out really at VMax - pitting your Merc's against other German metal. Please don't think I am affiliated with VMAX200 at all, you can find my thread on AudiSRS here - AudiSRS.com :: Log in - this is a thread for the SRS members to attend a normal VMAX200 day.

The day is around £220-230 all in and you can basically run as many times as you want or as many times as your wallet dictates.

I'm not sure whether this is in the correct place on your forum and would appreciate it if admin would place it in the right section if not.

Should this be something which a few of you would like to do, then if one member could take the reigns and get a list going, that way when we get all three forums with enough runners, I have one point of contact for each forum. I am planning on doing this around February next year so plenty of time yet...!!! If we can get some solid numbers as we need at least 60 cars in all to book the day as a private day. VMAX dates are closely guarded as no spectators are allowed and the dates will be confirmed only a week or two before the actual date. You may bring one passenger per car but no more.

I hope this is something that you'd be interested in and prove what your cars can do....

Regards

Nick

Hi Nick,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for the challenge. I'm afraid my old diesels couldn't catch a cold never mind anything else.

I'm sure some of the boys will be along later to pick up the gauntlet. Welcome again.

AMG_charged was the one to challenge, He's gone out of the door quicker than any RS4 can go.

How about a drag race at Santa pod? £10 to get in and £25 to run all day?

Hi and welcome to the forum Nick.I think a few guy`s here already go on VMax

Indeed - welcome! Sounds like a worthy challenge for sure but not one my diesel estate fully equipped now with 2 maxicosi car seats as of yesterday (welcome to the world my brand new son!) is up to. Be very interested to see how it goes though!

Congratulations to you and your family :-)

this is something I think I'd be interested in, I don't expect to beat some of the big Audi boys but I think I could put up a good fight :)

I hope it takes off for you but I dont think this will go anywhere, it has taken VMAX200 years to get to the stage it is at. Look at how diffcult it was to get Starfire organised and that was with VMax200, it might be better to approach Craig and suggest a German only day.

I'm still up for it anyway!

Don't want to upset the C63's but you will get eaten alive on the main straight, so have some fun on the initial drag off the start line and the bend leading on to the runway.
Just think cold February day perfect for any engine but loved by forced induction ones, especially the modified ones!
As long as you have had your limiter removed you just enjoy yourself up to 165 for that's when all the forced induction cars will just be streching their metaphorical legs and opening their lungs. You will then have plenty of time to think of all those lovely extra's you ordered, 19 inch wheels, sound systems and the driving assistance package all "helping" you eventually hit 178-180mph if your lucky. :D

Just kidding its actually a great experience and at least you will have fun with the M3's at least those that have not gone this route!

Standard C63 was one of the slowest cars there earlier this year, some crazy stuff. The C63 managed about 176mph last time but doesn't feel very stable above 165.

I hear our very own Nudenut is having a twin-turbo conversion on his Audi R8 V10 - he's on our side :)

I read the OP incorrectly, so although he is not part of VMAX200 it is organised by Craig.

I'm up for it anyway!

Very true. Although it might not be as hard to get 6-8 people from each brand. I would be up for that too subject to date.

Put a kebab in front of my C220 estate and spirit of the hog will get it infront of any Audi Rs model. Lol

Will there be a burger van on the day? A must have.
