If you watch the first video closely, you'll notice in top gear the revs remain constant bouncing off the limiter but the speed keeps climbing for a while longer....

The reason is wheelspin. As the rear wheel gains more grip, the speed increases whilst maintaining the same engine speed (Wheelspin at 180+ )
