Mb phone enquiry

Hi can anyone help? on my c-class I have a factory fit Nokia 5110 phone and cradle with adaptor for the 6210, when I try to use my nokia 6310i it does not work the only message I get is initialising phone. I was told if I get the phone flashed with the correct software version that will work with the current phone set up on the car! Is this correct? Feedback most appreciated.

If a 6210 works ok you will need to replace the interface unit (PSE) for the the 6310i to work. £200 plus from dealer. Ebay items get snapped up PDQ. Check Nokia threads or part nos.

Thanks a lot topdown, probably just wait for the new phone cradles and PSE units than fork out £200 on a old phone PSE.
