Solar roof panels advice

Just got a new home and am considering solar panels. I have a roof which is south east facing, so it this good?

Are there any schemes being offered at the moment? And is it really worth it?

Would love some advice from someone who's done it already..

I have a detached 4 bed home ..

Any reputable companies or good websites I could get more information on?

The government pulled the plug on subsidies a little while ago so the vast majority of solar companies are going pop.

saw a report on the tv in the last week or so.......
current feed in tariff is approx £500/year for 14 panels. After the cut, which I think comes in December the FIT will be £50/year

Another consideration might be asthetics.

My roof faces due South, but with clay tiles it's a feature of the property and I couldn't ruin it for a few squid of leccy.
