So in the end, it turns out a mint CLK 430 Cab with 80K miles on the clock is only worth £4000.

I knew the first person to see it would buy it, but a little disappointed how much Mercedes depreciate.

So, I wonder what I should get next?

It was a nice car but a V8 and 10 years old? that's just how things are.

To minimise depreciation Make the next car also 12 years old and £4k.

if you need a quick estate... how about a Subaru Legacy Spec B... for a mid miles fully loaded car your looking at 4-5k and typical Japanese reliability
