Supercharged Mk2 golf gti
Hi im new to the forum and wondering if any of you guys would be able to help, i have a Mk2 golf gti running a eaton m62 supercharger which i believe is off a slk ? it has the electronic clutch on it....
Any way its making quite a bit of noise sounds as though its a bearing at the nose end of the charger, does any one know where you can get bearing kits/re-built kits from within the uk and can a solid/non clutched pully be fitted and is there a supplier for these.
any help would be great thanks.

HI is it the post 2000 model mercedes thats runs the solid pully ?
I called a few vw specialists today but once they found out that it wasnt the G60 charger they couldnt help other than give me a number for a company in America.
The noise isnt the usual whine from a vharger its a horrible rattle/grinding noise even at idle.

best bet is whip it off (small bolt and large circlip) and match up a new one from bearing factors. i have seen these bearings come loose on the housing and wear them away so have a good look.

Thanks, also would any one know what psi these run at and at what rpm please, thanks..

Hi i did a little digging today and found the clutch and bearing on it to be fine, i can hear the noise when manually turning the input shaft, the noise is from the charger so must be a bearing of some description inside. once the nose of the charger is off is there a coupler to the input shaft have seen a few of these for sale and supposed to be for a m62, just wouldnt mind a bit more info before i take it to bits tomorrow.
