I thought I had already posted this but just shows what thinking can do for you.

Tomorrow the National Rifle Association holds an open day at Bisley, Surrey.

This is just what it says and offers those who have a vague or not so vague interest in shooting etc to get live experience of various aspects of a sport (mandatory in all Olympic and Commonwealth Games so in no way "odd") that is widely misunderstood, misrepresented and generally demonised by Government and press. Details below.

http://www.nsc-bisley.co.uk/common/asp/calendar/events.asp?site=NSC
(Note the terms & conditions!)

Few miles off Junction 3 on M3

If nothing else worth going to see what is sort of an architectural timewarp back to days of Empire.

Will be helping out on the Historic Rifles so that if anybody wants to try their luck with WW1 or WW2 vintage kit they can do so. (Otherwise I wish you a thumping good time in Homebase or B&Q)

PM if you want further info otherwise just turn up

I used to shoot (pistols) regularly at Bisley with my grandfather in the late 60s & early 70s. Can't make tomorrow, unfortunately :(
