Car
'21 C300 Coupe, '20 SLC Final Edition, Peugeot 208 (hers!) and a new Ford Kuga in Russia
After all this negativity towards my CLS, I decided to dust it off and take it out this morning for a good blast around the chilterns!

Well, despite the rattling (it makes it all the time now) it still drives superbly!
The engine is silky smooth, and endowed with shocking amounts of power - way more than I need.

Handling, very good. Inspires confident, fast driving around the lanes near where I live. I'm not that into driving like a hooligan these days, but this car makes it so easy to do so!

And, the icing on the cake, I came back through the town and crawling along past the shop windows couldn't help but admire it's svelte lines.... such a handsome car!

So, there you have it. A beautiful car, driving it's heart out for me today, waiting patiently for it's diagnosis later this week...

ahh im not the only person who looks at the reflection in shop windows

Actually, the things Hawk was saying yesterday helped a lot and actually encouraged me to drive it again (it had been languishing in the back of the drive and I was using the Saab everyday) and start to enjoy it all over! Thanks Hawk! :)

I took the 911 out the other day after 6 weeks.... After a 30 minute sedate warm up... It was a pleasure.... Thick leather jacket, scarf and hat... Roof down.... I had an absolute blast.... Back in the garage now due to salt and snow coming..... Back to the boring Chelsea tractor X5.....

Sounds great!!! Wonderful car and good news that you can now drive the manual!! Happy driving days ahead! :)

And to think you were thinking of trading it in for a BMW:p;)

:D .... And, this afternoon CLS got a blast down the M1, through the wonderful town of Watford and then posed outside a client's premises for a while, then a nice cruise back up the M!. Dare I say, it didn't put a wheel wrong?!

So, the diagnosis from MB Oxford should be interesting!

By the way, my client loved the idea of being able to watch an episode of Father Ted in the car while I waited for the appointment! :D:D

I'm glad that you're back to enjoying the car.

It must have overheard you mentioning defecting to BM*....

To be honest, I think it got upset, as I'm a good owner and it really didn't want to get sold again! :D

And yes, that was the ultimate insult... :D:D

It's good to hear you're enjoying the car. The very best money pits always give that glimmer of hope and deliver enjoyment so that you don't just can them. That's the sheds party piece, great fun drives giving good memories making parting with her that much harder. If it were **** and unenjoyable to drive it would be long gone.

I've made some PX enquiries and I've got someone hopefully calling me back. If the price is right no more 7g for me.

What will you go for if you do sell the Shed?

I've enquiried re a facelifted version of the sheds predecessor. Same power as a 270, no leather seats (another irritant of the shed I'm not a fan), no 7g in a package of car I really do like.

Good luck! :)

you do like your E class diesels, don't you :)

facelift is much improved. My Dad has a 200K, and it's lovely to drive, and incredibly economical.

are you going for Artico?

^Having had a loan car with artico last week i can honestly say i'm not a fan of the stuff.either real leather or may as well have cloth.

Cloth/leather. Same as shed predecessor. I need a decent price for mine otherwise I'll not be buying this car.

I wonder how many others do that? My wife thinks I'm stupid! :D (but that might be for other things too!) :D:D
