Somewhat costly A0 service quote

Afternoon all.

Loving my 63 and fully expected an expensive service and was expecting around £400 give or take...quote from Hughes of Beaconsfield is £870.

Car is 3 years old on 27,500 miles and has the PP and dif.

Reason for price is the gearbox and dif oil need doing due to the cars age?!

This sound about right or am I being bent over?

To be honest, £400 doesn't seem to buy much in Mercedes-land these days as an oil change is about £200 and filters are £150 or so. I'm not saying that I think these are reasonable prices, just what they charge. However, you should get a 'free' cup of coffee.

Have you looked on myservice to compare quotes - always seems to be bit of a closed shop though in my opinion.

As it is out of warranty, a quote from an Indy will give you a good comparison.
