Anyone got one? Thinking about this or a Yamaha YSP-2200 primarily for Blu-Ray films.

I have an Altec Lansing sound bar for the big screen which is wired and pretty good. I've just bought a Logitech UE Boombox (wireless bluetooth) for the bedroom mainly for audiobooks and music although I have watched a few DVD's. I find the sync'ing with the film soundtrack not great, don't know if that would be a problem with all bluetooth speakers.

No matter how good these things are they really don't replicate surroundsound as well as a true 5.1 speaker system. But for what they offer they are fine...just don't expect it to sound as good as 5.1 systems..

Yes I have a Yamaha sound bar and it's every bit as good as the Onkyo 5.1 DTS it replaced, would highly recommend it. :thumb:

I've been considering changing my wired Altec Lansing for a bluetooth soundbar. Has anyone found any sync'ing problems with them?

The Bose soundbar is amazing. Fills the room so well, sharp as a tack and the bass response is amazing.

synching in what respect with the bar its self or the synch between the speech and lips on screen?

Speech and lips. The Boombox is paired with various apple devices, the problem is when I watch DVD's or stream movies. It's not a huge issue as I use it mostly for music/audiobooks, but it got me to thinking if there would be a similar problem if I changed my now quite old, wired soundbar, with a bluetooth bar.

Can you wire the Sonos as well as connect via bluetooth? It can be wired for Blu-Ray and stream music otherwise.

There really isn't any point buying one of these unless you also buy a Sonos Bridge and stream music from the Internet, or connect it to a NAS and stream CDs burnt onto it.

Remember the Sonos is optical connection. Ensure your TV supports this otherwise you will be wasting your money. Went to a specialist and he said Yamaha is better. But if you get the bridge and some airplay speakers you can have a sonos wireless surround system. But at a price. Also the sub woofer can be bought it too is wireless so giving you 5.1 but very pricey

It would connect to the Blu-Ray player. I'd like the option of streaming music to it if and when I get around to putting my 1000+ CDs onto a NAS...

No problem at all on the Yamaha, but both my Sky box and DVD player have offsets so you can synch but I've never needed to use them. If I stream from my laptop then I do have to run a slight offset so the speech and lips are in synch

I wonder why that is. Afaiaw there's no adjustment available with my MacBookpPro/Boombox combo. Not a huge problem as I said.
