Hi Guys,
I love my sound as much as I love my cars so anycar I buy I have to upgrade the sound system and have done this to all my cars i.e. BMW X5, Porsche 911 and my last car Nissan 350z and won the modification of the month in Nissan' s forum so I think I know a thing or two (Well I think I do!)

this is my plan for my CLK 320 W209 which has a becker CD player and in dash cd changer. There is something that resembles a subwoofer in back shelf although the whole sound system sounds not far from crap. Maybe okay for most people but I don't like it so here it goes my plan:

Kenwood DNX 7200 with built in Sat Nav and built in IPOD control and I have the bluetooth unit for this as well as a top of the range ALpine rear view camera (I will be adding the front view camera too as I don't have sensors:(

I have some Kicker Comp subwoofers so I plan to use 2 and build a custom build box.

Fron speakers are going to be MB Quart reference as I know them to be the best sound quality and rear speaker to be a Kicker but not sure what size it needs to be! Anyone knows?

Amp I will use either a very powerful amp to power both or use my Alpine MRP-M350 x 2 for each sub.

Not sure if I need to amp the speakers as my bass is going to be powerful ir not!? Any ideas?

I have read about taking door panels off, Iknow how to take the centre console off and I just need to know the route I can take my cables to the boot.

Oh, I also have a Yellow Top Gel bater which I will use as I don't trust standard batteries with this sound system.

any advise or comment is most welcome.

Cheers

Andy

There are a few ICE experts on here, but not many. Most seems to be content with the standard Mercedes setup.
You might get a better response from a dedicated forum that specialises in these things.

Thanks Dave,
To be honest my biggest problem/concern is how to run the cables to the rear boot without the buldge being visible so I am sure I'll come up with a plan unless someone else has already tried it.

Hi!
Most members on this forum have an engine with a greater Kw output than that of their sound system:)

Sounds like you intend to buck that trend!;)
