Yeah, it was a while ago, I got rid of the 'Kat' in 1991, the H2 around '84.

But I did take my Brother-in-Laws bike for a run about a year ago, all I got for my trouble was bloody cramp in groin, I alway used to get that, annoying!

PM'd you..... Ciao.

I'm still on for Sunday - intending to arrive around 12.00

Also confirm Hawk20 and Mrs Hawk20 also arrive around noon. Your suggestion about booking, Mangoman, sounds good as then we can all sit together.

I am still coming at this stage... bit dependant if work is a disaster on saturday or not! but I am 99.9% sure I be there, probably arrive around Noon

Isn't it amazing that it has taken two months, a well subscribed poll and over 80 postings to get a lunch meeting for 6/8 people together. Ain't technology wonderful?
Anyway, well done Mangoman for getting it all to happen in the end. See you Sunday.:)

We're aiming to be there about 11:30, probably not eating though (I've got an aunt just down the road in Emsworth who we're due to visit).

Thanks to MangoMan for arranging this lunchtime's GTG. It was good to meet folks in person and see the various cars. Good discussions prior to and during lunch. Venue is highly recommended both for views of the yachts on the Hamble river and for the excellent carvery. Cheers, Jim

Thank you Mangoman for organising todays GTG. Venue was excellent and also the food! We hope to meet you all again in such nice surroundings and in such cheery company! both of us enjoyed the chats! Racall and Lynn

Managed to show up at around 18:45.Everyone except Mangoman had all gone.
Still nice to meet you Bill. Hope you enjoyed the spin in the clk and thanks for organising the event.
Hope to see you at a future gtg when you get your 300 sorted.
Cheers.
Mac.

Hope everyone had a good time...I got about 15 mins into the trip there, and the alarm on the Integra decided it was going to start going off for no reason...at 80 in the outside lane.

Not best pleased as I'd had the car less than 24hr at this point

Went straight back home and finally managed to trace the problem to the interior sensors, which for some reason aren't disarming with the alarm system. Managed to bodge it with some electrical tape over the sensors, but by then it was mid-afternoon, and too late to head out.

The dealer will be sorting it all out tomorrow when the alarm fitter is in. I've already flatly refused to drive all the way back to them with the car, so either he's coming to me, or they're collecting the car.

Great pics.!

Nice to meet you all, albeit briefly, see you next time.

Great picsBasmar. Let me into one secret. What is the easiest way to blot out number plates, please??
Lovely meeting eveyone and putting faces to names on the web. Well done Mangoman for nailing it down and Blassberg for suggesting it. How about first Sunday of August next year???
One great highlight was seeeing Mangoman's 300ce, 1990, leather hardly warn, all working at 231,000 miles and the paint looking better than many cars a few years old. Real treat to see it.

You need some kind of image/picture editing software. Simple route is to select a paintbrush tool and a colour (e.g. white) and simply 'paint' over the reg. with the mouse pointer. You can do this in Microsoft Paint, which any Windows PC should have. If you have a picture editing package like PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro (I use the latter) you can mark out part of the image (the numberplate) then apply an 'effect' to just that area ... normally 'blur' or 'pixellate' ... to obscure the text. You might even be able to do this in Microsoft Photo Editor, which comes with Windows.

Edit: pixellated one:

BTB500's description on how to do this is spot on, unfortunatly there is no easy way, and if you have a lot of photos it is time consuming

Yep it's a pain, I did a bunch of pics. from last GTG I went to.

Got your chrome star centre caps yet? :D

If you haven't done it yet another cheap and easy mod. for the R129 is to replace the useless cassette storage in the centre console with a plain storage bin. Part cost £15 from main dealer when I did it:

Thanks to everyone that came along, a most enjoyable afternoon meeting new people and having entertaining conversations. Even though it was pretty warm on the day making it quite uncomfortable sitting inside I think everyone enjoyed the food, I eventually got around to eating at about 4pm.

A special thanks to 'Mac' for taking me for a 'Spin' (almost literally!) in the magnificient '55 AMG' who did attend later in the afternoon. Thanks again for coming.

All the cars looked great, mine looking decidedly dated though.....lol. Thanks for the nice comments by the way.

Unfortunately I didn't have my camera, but to those who did, thanks. If anyone wants to send me any of them, please feel free. Just PM me and I will give a E-Mail address.

Thanks again to everyone, and hope to see/meet more of you at a later date.

Ciao for now, Bill. :):):):)

Sorry I don't offhand, but they should have them in stock as they're a very common part.
