Do any of you fancy having a GTG at my workshop in December time?

It may be easier for us southerners to meet at mine rateher than making a trek up north.

Just putting the feelers out really to see if there is any interest. See my website www.prestigecarservice.co.uk for a map link and postcode.

I can put on some mulled wine and mince pies and some xmas type food for you all to enjoy.;)

Of course there will be a special offer on the day and the ramp will be available for work on a first come first served basis.

What do we al think?:D

Yes I'd be up for it (depending on the date). So long as you shovel the snow off that sloping driveway before we get there :D

Excellent idea there 'Ol Chap!

Now we just have to come up with a date that is good for most, I would suggest anywhere between the 30th. Nov & 14th. Dec. I say this because it will be closer to payday for the majority and also not too close to Christmas. I would actually go for the 30th Nov. which hey, is only 6 weeks away!!! :bannana:

I've been to one of Ollys' do's, they are great, and the spread is usually very generous, plus, as Olly states, there is always someone needing something done.....

So to get the ball rolling, I say the 30th. November 2008.

And to get the numbers;
(copy & paste as usual)

Bill + Marinha (wife) =2 (but in a SS-II Imported Celica - See Pic, Sorry)(Am looking). :D

I would definatley be up for that, the 30th is good for me too, I will put off selling the Merc until then... ;)

30th Nov is good for me , and as it's the day after my birthday , you can bring a cake if you like ;)

I'll be up for it depending on date. I can show off my latest new big star grill for everyone to laugh at :D

Run a hose from on top of the hill the night before... free service for anyone who makes it to the top! :D

I'll head along if i'm free.

Oh no Howard the cakes are on you :D

That's what we do here anyway if it's your Birthday you buy the cakes for the office.

I reckon the same rule applies to any MBClub GTG :p

I am pleased there has been such a good response straight away.

No need to cancel the other meet.

I agree with 'BaldGuy' there, I'm sure this isn't planned to interfere with the Gaydon Meet, it's that although a good many of would like to go there, it's just that it's quite a trek for some of us down here, at least a 2 1/2 hour journey for me at any rate. I just think with the current economic climate there is nothing wrong with having a more Local GTG, albeit maybe smaller, to hopefully attract some of us that would like to go to 'GTG's, but don't because of distance/cost etc. Which to me is understandable.

I don't think this is meant to compete with the Gaydon GTG at all, it's just an idea to make things more accessible to all.

Cheers, Bill.

It would be my intention to attend both. No competition to my mind.
