The innards of the valve on the spacesaver spare wheel on my '03 W211 have come away, so a new valve is needed. Does anybody know where I can get one? The usual tyre suspects don't keep them...

I have a bunch of spares I bought when I fitted TPMS valves, expecting them to require replacement of outer (and inner) bits ... never needed a single one
If any of these any good, you can have one.
Let me get a pic ...

Thank you for the offer, but I don't think they will do. The valve is a standard rubber type, but apparently the hole in the space-saver wheel is smaller diameter than in full-size wheels, so a standard-size valve won't fit.

Ah, I see - never knew that ...

I'm not sure whether a motorcycle valve would do, but I suspect not. Mercedes supply the part - part number 000 400 2913. Ironically, if you know the part number they can easily be found online...

I picked one up today, and all is now well.
