Space saver wheel

I have used the space saver on my previous W203 on a few occasions, and also on the wife's (non MB) car, and they were fine.

I have a full size spare on the W204 now (It's an fifth alloy wheel identical to the original four wheels). The space saver is OK for short journeys, but you don't want to have to use it if you get a flat tyre during a long journey - the full size spare means I could continue my journey uninterrupted (after changing the wheel) rather than limping on the motorway at slow speed looking for the nearest town with an open tyre shop.

After getting a puncture on the M25, and then spending 5 hours driving around with the AA bloke trying to find a tyre that was the correct size, I decided that was ridiculous and bought a space saver on eBay for my SL55.

Im hoping to take the car to Spa in Belgium at some point and wouldn’t do that without a spare....
