The car is in for a major service today, when I bought the car they said that it had been serviced. However the interval on the dash only gave me 2,500 miles before it was due - is this short period expected?
I supplied my own oil to the garage who's servicing it (I didn't want Mobil), they wanted 10 litres of the stuff!! Also they changed the spark plugs, I didn't realise there were two per cylinder - 16 in total!! It'll be a small fortune :O
Brings me on to another question - do the spark plugs fire at the same time or does one fire on the exhaust stroke?
The garage also said that some items hadn't been changed for years, the engine air filters were black and the old platinum spark plugs were very bad.
Never mind, I know it's done now! Not sure of the total price yet but will later.
