NGK was the only make of plug which would work without spluttering in my old Lotus Elan. Champion were useless and oiled up within days.

However, that was then, and this is now and I hang my head in shame to have to admit I havent got a clue as to the make of plug in my W203.
And perhaps, more to the point, I dont care - or even want to know.
Been there, done that and providing it goes, stops and is fairly economical, I dont give a jot. The only 2 reasons I lift my bonnet is to replenish windscreen washer water and to clear debris out from the rainwater runoff tray below the windscreen wipers.

EXACTLY...........
Oliie would know. He changed them last ! ! ! !

No idea, whatever the dealer put in there ;)

I run LPG and have been advised to only use NGK

New plugs fitted recently at A service as an extra

Bosch FR8DC+

The official ones as listed by Mercedes EPC for my car are :-

Bosch

Beru

Champion.

Was given Beru last time due to Bosch supposedly discontinued non-resistor plugs.

Its becoming more difficult to source the correct Bosch plugs for older models as you say. Funnily enough some people have found main dealers to be the best source. I moved to NKG for that reason and have found them to be a good substitute.
