Special offers at Aldi today

I bought 10 of the mitts last time around - great value and less than the cost of one at Halfrauds.

I went and spent a massive £10:D.
Shampoo, mits, wheel cleaner, tyre black. It's OK stuff obviously not pro stuff but Ok for a week to week clean.
The wheel clean stuff seamed to work OK 1st time for me with wheel cleaner stuff.

I bought the car polisher when it was previously on offer a year or so back - very happy with it considering the price .

I just walked out of Aldi after leaving my stuff on one of the (unmanned) checkouts. Well, I wanted my £1 back from the trolley!

7 people with well stocked trolleys in front of me on the only manned checkout. I asked if they were going to be putting another operator on and got a curt "not at the moment" Service? What service?

Glad in a perverse way that your Aldi isn't better than my local store.

I think the people behind the mirror glass must be p!ssing themselves watching their patrons suffer

To be fair to ALDI or LIDL (I'm never sure which is which!) I don't think that service is what they are offering.

They seem to be more of a pile it high and sell it cheap type of operation.

I try not to go there for the reasons above but will admit that they're good for party snacks.

You don't queue at Waitrose, but as has been discussed on another thread you pay a premium for that level of service.

It's good that in the UK we have so much choice at both ends of the market in the UK - and not just in the middle-ground.

It's even better that even at the cheaper end of the market the quality of the product is still pretty good, even if the service and surroundings are more hit and miss.

Lidl arn't so bad but I realy HATE IT, when made to put my trolley between me and the checkout and then reach across for stuff, (to stop it flying off the end) only to throw it back in the trolley as they dont have time for you to pack it properly, and then to have to go through and bag up after. Yet you queue for ages watching old codges have a nice chat with missy, and the immigrants struggle with a bank card???

But when its my turn, they see it as a chance to catch up. GGGRRRRRRR

Maybe you really should not shop at Lidl...........Try Waitrose, but expect to pay just a tad more :)
