Hi

Just done a search on this subject. B2 & Road Angel seem popular, but no mention of Talex, which seems to meet my requirements, for £129 from Dixons website.

Any comments welcome. I've pretty much decided not to get a sat-nav that can incorporate cameras as points-of-interest, as I will aim to use the device constantly, whilst I would have infrequent need for route planning/directions.

Thanks

Derek

I have had a RoadAngel Compact for a couple of months and am very pleased with it. Also purchased the add on laser detector (£50)

I have been told the RoadAngel database is the best out there? and very easy to update via PC.

£250 all in, 6mts free subs then £4 per mth after that.

That looks quite good actually. I like the road direction and the under limit mute and the accident blackspot stuff (as that's what cameras should be about??)

Did I read that it is database only, so no detection?

Thanks for the input. Now I've found these adverts (both for the same unit):

http://www.speedsafe.co.uk/product.php?id=159

I think this suggests this unit is very similar to the Talex, but costs less and has no subscription charge. I may be tempted!

The Talex Lite has no included subscription and slightly cut-down features. The "height above sea level" feature of the full-spec Talex & the MicroFuzion is of little practical use to me, but I like the idea of having it! The full-spec Talex has 6 mths subs included.
